Dan Olson is an Canadian artist producing installations (often incorporating audio and video elements), multiples (mostly in the form of sound toys and book works), and performances (mostly incorporating sound elements - not always musical). He believes that society doesn't place enough value on play and humour as ilegitimate responses to the world in which we live. In his own work Olson responds playfully - if not subversively - to anything that intrigues, annoys or perplexes him. His work has been seen and heard, in and out of galleries, since 1986.
