WAS SHOT IN THE BACK on 1.12.

Artist and curator Tilo Schulz's work is located at the interfaces between art and handicrafts, architecture and design; between high and popular culture. The connections between space, the public and perception are central issues in his practice. This includes exploration of the architecture and the use of the exhibition space, sculpture, the magazine as public space and interventions in city space. In these contexts Schulz refers to display - an interaction between the area of activity, the presentation and the activation of the relationship between the observer and the observed, creating an interpretative zone of form and content.

Tilo Schulz will talk about his recent exhibition and performance project I WAS SHOT IN THE BACK at the Blackwood Gallery, Toronto in relation to older works.
