Celebrating the impossibility on 2.6.
Celebrating the impossibility on 2.6.

Rob La Frenais is the curator of Arts Catalyst, the science-art agency who are advising on a cultural context for the International Space Station. He asks how do we address the ethical paradox of whether art should extend to every realm of life, including human spaceflight, nuclear reactors and synthetic biology? Is it unethical to be 'against nature' or are we simply an aspect of nature doing what is best, even if this includes making the planet uninhabitable? He will show video clips of artists in zero gravity, of the Artists Airshow 2 - celebrating the impossibility of personal flight and the possibility of artists' cheap spaceflight, and from Spacebaby - the possibility of human adaptation to long-term space travel.
