Starting from Lene Bergs video "The Weimar Conspiracy", this lecture proposes a nomadic, fl aneuse, attitude to urban exploration, developing an instinctive tendency to look at epidermic phenomena, at superfi cial characters - not necessarily in a negative sense - as public manifestations of inner tensions, as the emergence of processes underneath the surface. Considering ourselves as urban dermatologists, we can try to read through the city's skin - through its physical and social diaphragm - as a way to reveal deeper transformation occurring in its body. It is a way to refl ect on the public and the private, on the individual and the social, on the visible and the invisible of urban life. Lorenzo Tripodi, architect. The main focus of his research regards the intertwined processes of spatial and image production affecting the contemporary urban world. Co-founder of Ogino-knauss, an artist collective deploying innovative audiovisual techniques for the description of the evolving global landscape. Laura Colini, working as researcher, currently holds a EU Marie Curie research fellowship at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
